Join the MicroNano lab!

We are an interdisciplinary research group working at the intersection of microfluidics, electrokinetics, molecular biology, biophysics, and quantitative characterization of complex mechanical environments.
Our lab emphasizes hands-on experimentation, rigorous theory, and open scientific communication.

Graduate students

Introduce yourself and ask about projects. Admissions go through Mechanical Engineering and the Graduate School. Mention our lab in your statement.

What to send: CV, interests, and a 3–5 sentence note on why our lab fits.

International students

We sometimes host visiting students. Send a CV, your interests, timing, and funding info. We can advise on visas when a visit is feasible.

Post-doctoral researchers

Email to discuss opportunities and timing a few months ahead. Include a note on your background and future plans, a CV with publications, and 2–3 references. Fellowships are welcome.

Undergraduate students

We host UGs on different projects. Prior research is not required. Share your background, courses, time you can spend in the lab, and goals.
